Before the falling out (and reconciliation) of the partnership between Nike and the Kobe Bryant Estate, the Swoosh had big plans laid out for the 10th anniversary of the Nike Kobe 6. Things were kicked off back in December 2020 with a return of the “Grinch” colorway, followed by the “All-Star” and “POP” OGs, but releases like the “Orange County,” “3D Lakers,” and “Chaos” (amongst many others) were shelved. But now that Nike and Vanessa Bryant are back on good terms, it appears that the Swoosh will pick up where they left off, with the two parties set to resume the 10th-anniversary celebration, albeit belated, with the return of the Nike Kobe 6 “Prelude”

Part of an eight-shoe capsule leading up to the release of the Kobe 9, the Nike Kobe 6 “Prelude” features a colorful graffiti design sporting a variety of images, including palm trees and sharks. The design is inspired by the eclectic Venice, California, while the design itslef is put on an upper with a snakeskin texture. Zoom Air provides cushioning in the midsole, with a heel counter adding stability.

A specific date for the Nike Kobe 6 “Prelude” reissue is yet to be confirmed, but there are whispers of a Holiday 2022 return. Keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter accountfor further updates throughout the year.

Until then, enjoy a first and exclusive look at the 2022 Protro here below.
