The 5th anniversary of Kobe Bryant's passing might've come and went, but his widow, Vanessa, and Nike, Inc. family continue to honor his legacy through product and initiatives. Recently, Mrs. Bryant took to her Instagram account to tease another pair of the beloved Nike Kobe 6 Protro.
Donning a similar color palette as the model's EYBL edition, the sneaker features different shades of purple across its performance-first construction. Snake-inspired scales across the upper divvy up a light and dark purple medley that creates a gradient finish on the basketball shoe. Components around the heel deviate in a checkered pattern; inner-lining follows suit. The sole unit underfoot favors an almost-pink update that complements the remainder of the unreleased Kobe 6 well.
Vanessa Bryant didn't share any backstory or nickname for the heavily-purple pair in her initial Instagram post. It's likely more information about the shoes are shared via social media or a press release.
Enjoy pictures of the sneaker ahead. No word of an official Nike.com release date has been disclosed by either party involved, but that could change soon. Inline styles of Bryant's sixth signature model retail for $190.
