Before the falling out (and reconciliation) of the partnership between Nike and the Kobe Bryant Estate, the Swoosh had big plans laid out for the 10th anniversary of the Nike Kobe 6. Things were kicked off back in December 2020 with a return of the “Grinch” colorway, followed by the “All-Star” and “POP” OGs, but releases like the “Orange County,” “3D Lakers,” and “Chaos” (amongst many others) were shelved. But now that Nike and Vanessa Bryant are back on good terms, the sneaker sphere has been waiting patiently for a return of the signature line and it looks like Fall 2023 will be the resumption date, with the focal point being the Nike Kobe 8
Recently, Instagram account @kobe_archive posted a picture of an all-black pair of sneakers with the caption “Kobe 8 Protro Wear-Test Sample – Rumored to release Fall 22’ and now, sources close to House of Heat have confirmed it’s return — though exactly what colorways will be released remains a mystery.
A specific date for the Nike Kobe 8 reissue is yet to be confirmed, but we expect to learn more as we build up to the Fall 2023 schedule.. Keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter accountfor further updates throughout the year.
In related news, the first-ever release of Kobe’s Nike Air Flight Huarache “Lakers Away” is also coming in 2023.
