There's a palpable buzz in the air for all Nike and Kobe Bryant fans alike, as the lauded Nike Kobe 8 is slated to make a highly-anticipated return with its iconic "Venice Beach" colorway in 2024.
Marking the resurrection of the late Kobe Bryant’s brand, the reissue of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro comes in the wake of the brand's Mamba Day relaunch featuring the "Triple-White" Kobe 8 Protro. As the brand continues to honor Bryant's legacy, the return of the first OG colorway in the summer of 2024 adds another exciting chapter to the story.
Originally introduced in 2013, the "Venice Beach" colorway was an ode to the sandy vistas of Venice Beach, located a mere 16 miles away from the Staples Center, Bryant's home court. Retaining its original vibrancy, the upcoming release features a multi-colored mesh upper, showcasing teal, red, yellow, and silver hues. The sneaker's signature TPU heel counter is drenched in a refreshing turquoise, contrasted with yellow medial Swooshes and a bright orange sock liner. These colorful elements stand out against the grayscale backdrop of the heel, epitomizing the color palette and the spirit of Venice Beach.
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro "Venice Beach" is set to hit Nike.com and select retailers on April 13, 2024, retailing at $190.
