Previewed by WNBA Point God Sue Bird during Seattle Storm’s championship ring and banner presentation last season, the widely discussed “Keep Sue Fresh” Nike Kyrie 5 PE will no be seeing a retail release.
Although she was struck down with an injury at the time, her good friend Kyrie made sure that he and his pals at Nike kept her looking fresh, and now you can too — that is if you can fit into Gradeschool sizing. The white-based, graffiti-covered upper comes with shout-outs to the star, including etchings of “All-Decade,” “All-Star” and “Gold Medalist” (she has four of them, mind you.) Clean white midsoles and heel overlays add in a break to the business, before returning to the chaos underfoot, with an ice blue outsole striped with orange, white, blue, red, green and yellow — all the colors that represent the star’s career from UCONN Huskies (Orange, White and Blue), to Seattle (Yellow and Green), to Team USA (Red White and Blue)
A release date for the Nike Kyrie 5 “Keep Sue Fresh” PE has been locked in for November 2nd, with select Swoosh hoops houses and Nike.com set to carry the sneakers. over the coming weeks.
