Though it may be synonymous with Jordan Brand, the Black and Red — and to a lesser extent, the Ferrari — colorways have frequently found their way to mainline Nike Basketball drops. From the Kyrie and KD signature lines to the annual LeBron Low, the Bred colorway remains a popular choice amongst hoopers, Air Jordan, or otherwise. This year’s Nike LeBron 18 Low “Bred” bears the mostly-black base we’ve come to expect, though this year delivers it with some Italian flair.
Like Mike, LeBron has a fondness for Ferraris. And just as tinker did with the Air Jordan 14, Nike’s design team has added ‘rari-inspired branding, seen here at the tongue, as well as carbon fiber-like detail to the upper eyelets. Flashes of red at the tongue and Air supports are countered by a striking white outlined Swoosh, with everything else arriving in black. Differences in texture and material allow the black base to appear not-so-bland, with ripstop, nubuck, neoprene and more allowing the light to catch each material in its own unique way.
