Revealed on-foot of the King himself last month in a stealthy triple black arrangement, it’s taken no time at all for new colorways to surface with first looks at this upcoming Nike LeBron 19 “Bred” appearing through social media this week.
As the title suggests, the pair boasts a time-tested black and red palette and shows the pair in finer detail than ever before. The design shows some familiarity, with some elements evoking memories of the LeBron designed 13 thru 16. With a shape similar to the 14/15, the pair presents with semi-segmented Zoom Air supports underfoot akin to the 16, while added plastic heel pieces are reminiscent in shape and finish to those seen on the 13. New to the line is the included midfoot caging, which is seen here on both the lateral and medial sides for extra support. It’s likely there due to the seemingly lightweight ripstop upper and neoprene tongue which are both notoriously bad for support — though the former does appear to be reinforced.
