Hardwood Classic colorways have been a staple theme for LeBron’s signature line, dating all the way back to 2007’s LeBron 4, to the most recent edition in the LeBron 15. They were introduced to match his Cavs’ throwback jerseys — the royal and orange editions worn by Cleveland circa 1987. Aside from the aforementioned 4, there has been none more desirable than the ashy blue “HWC Alternate” LeBron 7 Sample from 2010 — and finally, Nike will be giving you a chance to secure your very own pair.
That’s right, the Nike LeBron 7 “Hardwood Classic Alternate” Sample is releasing in 2020, according to Korean sneaker blogger @stree8oy. His rather bare Instagram post didn’t include any details, but the sneaker sleuth from across the Pacific is as accurate as they get.
As always, keep your eyes glued to our Twitter feed for further updates, including first looks at the expected 1:1 retro, release details and a list of retailers who’ll be stocking to drop. Until then, take a peep at 2010’s sample edition below!
