After bagging his second-consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player award in 2010, his fam at Nike Hoops hooked him (and us) up with a special-edition Nike LeBron 7 “MVP” that celebrated the King’s accomplishment. 10 years on from that, LeBron James is still arguably the best player in the league — and perhaps ready to collect his fifth Maurice Podoloff in 2020 — but before we get there, Nike will be honoring the 10-year anniversary of the award, with a re-release of the King’s special-edition seventh signature sneaker.
First images of 2020’s “MVP” LeBron 7 are yet to hit the web, but, like every other LeBron 7 reissue from this year, you can expect it to be a one-for-one remakem including grey fleece uppers, white leather overlays, burgundy collars, tongues and laces, and chenille Swooshes. You should also expect to see “Witness History” embroidered across the heels, and an “MVP” logo is displayed on the medial sides.
Look for 2020’s reissue to arrive as early as next month, with whispers of a June release floating around several sources. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further developments.
In other Nike news, a new Mars Yard 2.5 is expected to arrive these Holidays.
