With a slew of the King’s eighth signature releases already in queue, including the return of the revered “South Beach” iteration, it looks like the 2020-21 may just be the biggest and best retro lineup for Lebron yet. But before we get into the OGs and PEs, Nike has plans for an all-new option that is as equally striking in the day as it is after dark. Yes, as the title suggests, the Nike LeBron 8 “Gym Red Glow” does in fact possess glow-in-the-dark attributes (the sole unit) — though that title may well not be the official one. A first look at the mostly red with gold release immediately evokes feelings of Asia’s most-populated country — and the Chinese characters on the inner tongue all but ensure that it is a special release for China. Adding to the traditional Chinese pallete is a strong black midsole and Swoosh combo, the latter outlined in a non-glow “Cucumber Calm”, and the aforementioned sole unit in a glow finish.
At this stage, pairs are listed for “Late 2020”, but with official images available now, you should expect to see these arrive within the next few weeks on Nike.com — hopefully as a worldwide release. As always, keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter accountfor updates.
In other retro Bron news, a new LeBron 8 “Lakers” is also on the way.
