Nike is giving NBA fan wear a major refresh with the new NBA Standard Issue Collection, a league-wide apparel program designed to bring what players wear around the game closer to what fans can buy and wear themselves.

Built across all 30 NBA teams, the collection includes hoodies, pants, T-shirts and shorts with a more modern fit and stronger team identity. Each franchise gets its own graphics and design details, with both louder oversized treatments and more understated options depending on how fans want to represent their team.

The biggest shift is how directly the collection connects player and fan apparel. NBA players will wear Standard Issue pieces throughout the season during warm-ups, practices and team travel, while fans will be able to purchase the same products for the first time.

Nike says the collection was shaped by feedback from more than 400 elite high school players, 100 NBA athletes, all 30 teams, and fans around the world. Performance details include Aero-Fit and lightweight fleece, Standard Issue Stretch with Dri-FIT, oversized silhouettes, custom hardware, braided drawcords and woven labels.

The collection also extends into the new NBA Specter Edition uniforms, which will be introduced for the Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. Each uniform pulls from the respective franchise’s history, city and fan culture.

The Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection will roll out in two releases, beginning September 15, followed by a second drop on October 12 through Nike.com, NBAStore.com and select retailers. The Specter Edition uniforms and matching apparel will follow later this fall.
