The Nike React Vision “Desert Oasis” Drops Next Week! 🏝

Nike’s new DIMSIX React Vision may only just be a few weeks old, but its maximal design yet familiar aesthetic is catching on like wildfire. The market is sucking up the heavily-layered, chunky-soled sneaker, with a slew of first-up colorways flying off the shelves. Now, it returns with a new rendition dubbed “Desert Oasis” — and it’s easy to see why, with earthy, arid hues of off-white, pink-beige, gold and reds paired with crystal light blues of mirage-imagined waters.

At it’s core, the pair mimics the widely-loved React Element 55, but tacks on a bevy of new features, including oversized heel clips, a re-molded sole unit, and a ream of seemingly-randomized overlays. It’s both aggressive and organic, with sharp lines and flowing figures working in perfect harmony. The pair starts out with a burgundy base, most of which is covered by a tattered light bone sheath. The aforementioned overlays are stacked up like dominoes, while the overly aggressive heel clip in the rear provides somewhat of a countering effect to the top-heavy layering. Underfoot is a two-tone React-loaded sole unit to provided all-day comfort, and the pair’s ultra-plush tongue only adds to the crep’s coziness. Capping off the design are muted metallic gold profile Swooshes, and hiking-inspired rear and tongue pulls.
