The 3D-printed Nike Air Max 1000, made in partnership with Zellerfeld, is getting another update. The modified silhouette is aptly-named the Nike Air Max 1000.3.
Akin to the Air Max 1000.2, the next chapter of the Air Max 1000—which itself is a modern re-imagination of the original Air Max 1 from 1987—tweaks the 3D-printed design to ensure a better fit, enhanced durability, and overall faster manufacturing process.
At quick glance, the Air Max 1000.3 is near-identical to its predecessors, but closer inspection reveals updated to the shoe's outsole lugs and upper construction. The result is a future-forward Nike shoe that's easy to slip into.
Customization options are expected to be made available via the Air Max 1000.3 By You program at some point.
Keep an eye on Nike.com for a firm launch of the 3D-printed shoe, expected soon for $180. The debut colorway is "Platinum/Burgundy Crush/Pure Platinum."
