The creative freedom expressed in Nike’s Skateboard division is the envy of the sneaker world. Not only does the Nike SB team get to work for the Swoosh, but they get incredible freedom to their design choices and inspirations. From weed-inspired 4/20 Dunks to the most memorable food-themed release of recent years. Now it appears that the division is about to embark on another series of sweet sneakers, with this Nike SB Dunk Low “Blue Raspberry” the first of a handful of fruit-themed releases set to take the new year by storm.

Previewed by sample collection depeche23mode, a first look at the release show a fairly simple themed scheme, with University Blue leather uppers, tongue, and liners, met by a bevy of blue overlays. Suede is set in the pair’s darkest tone — Racer Blue — with matching hits found at the laces and tongue branding. Laser Blue suede Swooshes join rear threadwork and tongue tags, the latter of which features the titular character looking — quite frankly — a little high, which may indicate a possible 4/20 release.
