The creative freedom expressed in Nike’s Skateboard division is the envy of the sneaker world. Not only does the Nike SB team get to work for the Swoosh, but they get incredible freedom to their design choices and inspirations. From weed-inspired 4/20 Dunks to the most memorable food-themed release of recent years. Now it appears that the division is about to embark on another series of sweet sneakers, with this Nike SB Dunk Low “Cherry” the next of a handful of fruit-themed releases set to take the new year by storm.

Joining the Pineapple Highs and Green Appleand Blue Raspberry Lows, this too sets itself up in a fairly simple themed scheme. Once again it relies upon tumbled leather uppers, classic mesh tongues, and a slew of suede overlays. Here, it’s a bright red that dresses the tongue, liner, and leather, with deep beetroot use hitting the laces and suedes. The Swoosh sits somewhere in between those two hues — also in suede — before settling on a simple two-tone sole unit underfoot. And, like the others from the impending “Fruity Pack”, this too features its titular character looking — quite frankly — a little high on the flip side of the tongue, which may indicate a possible 4/20 release.
