Stefan Janoski’s long-running partnership with Nike SB has produced one of the most enduring silhouettes in the brand’s skateboarding catalog. The low-cut, minimalist Janoski has transcended its performance roots to become a casual staple—and for Fall 2025, it’s taking a bold detour from its usual laid-back look.

The upcoming Nike SB Janoski “Checkerboard” features a striking oversized chessboard pattern across the upper, alternating between panels of dark and light tan. The effect is amplified through the mix of textures, with sections cut from smooth suede and others from buttery nubuck. A golden-yellow embroidered Swoosh sweeps across the side wall, adding a flash of contrast without overpowering the design.

Dress shoe-inspired eyestays and rope laces elevate the aesthetic even further, while an all-black sole unit grounds the look with a classic finish.
