Nike to Release “Raptors” Shox BB4 in Black

Midway through 2019 marked the return of Vince Carter’s iconic Nike Shox BB4. Retrospectively, it was a timely reissue now that VC will be drawing the curtains on his 22-season-long NBA career. But before he officially calls it quits, Nike will be issuing yet another “Toronto Raptors” Nike Shox BB4 — this time in black.

The pair arrives in the exact same construction as last August’s Raptors Shox BB4, with one simple tweak — white is flipped to black. Here, the new release rocks out in a mix of smooth and tumbled leather, the former hitting the top half and toe of the upper, the latter along the fan-stitched mid-panel. Metallic silver hits the tongues, liner, and heel caps, the latter encasing a Court Purple Shox system, while vivid red heel adds some extra pop in the back. The tri-colored ribbon at the heel and tongue link back to the franchise’s original colors, while glazed on 3M reflective claw marks on the profile panel align with the team’s modern-day claw logo
