An Iron Man-Reminiscent Update Appears on the Nike Shox R4

Nike Sportswear continues to demonstrate just how ahead of its time the Shox R4 was when it debuted more than 20 years ago. As the silhouette continues to be positioned as a fashionable viz-tech model, it keeps expanding its roster of lifestyle looks.

With spring underway, the performance-informed design has emerged in a handful of new finishes. The latest sees a "Team Crimson/Black/Bright Crimson" medley of tones perfect for the change in season. The pair sees its leather panels along the tongue and around the forefoot, as well as Shox technology at the heel, done in a rich shade of red. When coupled with the iridescent, gold-brown color along the profiles, the hues evoke images of Marvel's fictional Iron Man superhero suit. Sure, the impending Shox R4 is not an official collaboration with Tony Stark nor a one-to-one recreation of his Avengers-approved outfit, but the semblance is just enough to earn the moniker.
