Despite debuting in the 1970s, the Nike LD-1000 fits in with current sneaker trends.
Designed as an experimental running model, the silhouette was quickly recalled after its original production due to its exaggerated heel angle. It returned as a lifestyle option over the last year, helping the Swoosh take on the low-profile, vintage sports footwear aesthetic that's overtaken the industry over the last two years.
Stüssy's collaboration remains the design's biggest look to date, but a number of inline efforts from the Oregon-based institution have delivered compelling looks. The latest take on the vintage runner indulges in "Team Red" and "Mosswood Brown" color palettes across two sneakers. A clean "Sail" contrasts each base tone via profile swooshes and midsoles, while both LD-1000 makeovers feature a bandana-reminiscent paisley floral pattern across their textile bases.
Enjoy official photos of the LD-1000 duo ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com and select shops by the beginning of autumn.
