Nike Running's Vomero franchise is currently on its 18th iteration. And while the current silhouette has gone all the way in terms of max cushioning, the Vomero 5 from last decade continues to be a popular lifestyle sneaker despite no longer boasting the brand's most-cushioned ride.
Over the last two years, the Air Zoom and Cushlon-assisted model has become the style of choice for people looking to be stylish without sacrificing comfort—especially when coming from other popular footwear like retro Air Jordans. The Vomero 5 has built out a healthy roster of colorways, providing something for everyone.
For its latest ensemble, the early 2010s-runner has taken on a black-and-chrome color scheme. Reminiscent of the budget-friendly ASICS that've become ultra-popular in cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., the sneaker sees a pitch-dark finish across most of its build. Accents around the forefoot, near the top of the tongue, and around the spine deviate in shimmering, chrome finishes.
