Nike Zoom Freak 3 “Aqua” Expecting Summer Arrival

With all eyes now on the Bucks v Haws series, it feels like the timing for the unveiling of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Zoom Freak 3couldn’t have been better. Also at its best is both the man himself in form (maybe not at the stripe) and the physical shoe itself, which leaves his previous performance models for dead. An audacious design such as this calls for equally bold colors, and the Freak is yet to disappoint. The staple black/white intro color is a given, but the next two to follow, the Freak Orange and now this Aqua option are simply awesome.

Delivering a design catered to Giannis’ signature Euro step, a very KD 7-like lockdown strap across the forefoot works in-tandem with Zoom Air units and a multi-directional outsole for responsiveness, energy absorption, and lateral traction. But it’s quite obviously not all about the Freak’s game, with colorways mimicking the two-time NBA MVP’s charismatic persona. Here, it’s vibrant aqua all-over, with pops of muted, marbled yellow and blue at the aforementioned strap and midsole plating working with striking purple laces to complete the design.
