At just 27 years of age, the Greek Freak has amassed two NBA MVP trophies, an NBA DPOY, an All-Star Game MVP to go along with his 5x All-Star appearances, 3 All-NBA, and 3 All-Defensive First Team selections — and now, his first NBA Championship and Finals MVP. He’s done that all in just eight seasons. A few years ago, Nike rewarded the young Buck with his very own signature sneaker, which we’re tipping will only grow in significance now that the Freak has cemented his legacy with a first Finals win. And he’s done it all with a grin on his face, because he simply loves what he does. So it’s fitting that the big fella will show his love for the game this February, with this special-edition Nike Zoom Freak 3 “Valentine’s Day” release

A far cry from traditional V-Day schemes, the Greek Freak delivers something more subdued, with cool blue hues working with warm sail and pink pops amongst a multitude of motifs, textures, and patterns. It’s blocking is simple, with thick sail midsoles wedged in between two-tone blue uppers and outsoles. It’s the fine details that elevate this offering, from fireworks-like graphics at the ankle — an ostensible nod to the feeling of love — and heart-arrowed basketball designs at the tongue and insole. And, like LeBron’s recently-revealed release for the occasion, this too comes finished with a special Nike Cherub hangtag.
