Nike Basketball has found its footing, delivering a healthy mix of modern performance product and retro styles. The latter category is expected to include various reissues of the Zoom Hyperflight from 2001 throughout 2026. A "Varsity Purple"-clad pair commemorating Jason Williams should launch as part of the silhouette's second run.

Reported by X user @brandon1an, the news has yet to be confirmed by the Swoosh. Nevertheless, the energy behind the G.T. Future, a sneaker with elements from the Zoom Hyperflight, suggests the brand has been revisiting the aesthetic and design cues from the early aughts. The impending pair's "Varsity Purple/White/Black" color scheme hints at a proper release of the Sacramento Kings-appropriate Player-Exclusive (PE) Williams wore during his time in the NBA, although the retail version could differ. Longtime fans of "White Chocolate" could be treated to the sneaker with JWILL on the spine and 55 on the tongue, but that remains to be seen.

Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details. The purpled-colored Hyperflight is expected to launch during the Spring 2026 season for $170.
