Jason Williams gave the SLAM x Nike Zoom Hyperflight another chapter this week, debuting a previously unseen “Platinum” colorway during the SLAM Summer Classic Vol. 8 festivities in New York.

The alternate pair trades the orange look of SLAM’s recently unveiled Hyperflight collaboration for a metallic silver upper, paired with black detailing, subtle purple accents, and an icy outsole. Williams’ “JWILL” branding runs vertically down the heel, continuing the personalized details Nike has used on his Hyperflight releases.

The “Platinum” nickname also feels like a fitting callback to Williams’ history with SLAM. In March 2000, he appeared alongside then-Sacramento Kings teammate Chris Webber on the magazine’s memorable “Double Platinum” cover — a moment that remains closely tied to the pair’s rise in basketball culture. That connection hasn’t been officially confirmed as the inspiration for the sneaker, but the reference is hard to miss.

The debut arrives as Nike celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Zoom Hyperflight, a model closely associated with Williams since its original 2001 run. SLAM and Nike have already included the silhouette in their wider Summer Classic collection alongside the Sabrina 4, Ja 4, and GT Cut 4.

Release details for the SLAM x Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Platinum” have yet to be announced. Stay tuned for updates.
