Nike Basketball is back with another ode to the DMV area—Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia—only this time, it's commemorating the cultural hub with a Zoom Hyperflight and G.T. Cut 1 instead of a Foamposite One.
Wale hasn't been made part of the new launch (yet), but the pairs feature cherry blossom motifs akin to the Foams the D.C.-native modeled in 2024. The Hyperflight sees a rich "Hyper Pink" color scheme across the bulk of its build. A similar G.T. Future was previewed earlier in the year by the aforementioned rapper, but the Hyperflight differentiates itself with an all-over embossed series of flower emblems recreating the cherry blossoms found in D.C.
Furthermore, the spine features a special graphic that brings the upper's detail to plastic-form. The footbeds cement the connection to the DMV by calling out all three locations: "DC," "MD," and "VA." The accompanying G.T. Cut 1 also dons a pink-heavy ensemble, but indulges in semi-translucent, white, and silver accents as well. The pair also sees "Unseen Hours" messaging, nodding to an ongoing series from Nike Basketball, which speaks to the hard work elite hoopers put in even when no one's watching.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details. The cherry blossom-inspired pink-colored Hyperflight and G.T. Cut should launch before May ends.
