Nike's Vomero franchise has been the go-to mileage churner for countless runners over the years, Currently on its 18th iteration, the line has found its footing again, with its fifth style now serving as a popular lifestyle model for many savvy and casual sneaker enthusiasts alike.
With summer fast-approaching, the Swoosh's Sportswear division has unveiled a number of refreshing ensembles atop the Nike Zoom Vomero 5, a retro style from 2011. Akin to pairs prepped for the year's warmest months, a newly-surfaced pair features a medley of vibrant tones across its performance-informed construction. "Metallic Pewter" and "Flat Pewter" set the stage across the upper, working in-tandem with "Black"-colored elements for an autumnal aesthetic. Near-fluorescent "Green Strike," however" animates branding, mid-foot base layers, and laces, interrupting the understated look. (A similar tone has appeared on Air Max offerings from earlier this year.)
Underfoot, the Cushlon-donning tooling also partakes in the bold flair from above. A stability component takes on the aforementioned green tone just as waffle-inspired traction zones do.
