It’s back!
Nike’s LeBron James signature shoe line was having a hard time circa 2017. Lower-cost Kyrie’s had become the most popular basketball sneaker on the market. Combine that with lacklustre LeBron 13 and 14 silhouettes, and LBJ’s kicks were in a mini slump.
But, just like the man who’s name is on the sneaker, Nike pulled themselves out of it, returning to the top, and it was all thanks to a little project they dropped last year called #LeBronWatch.
The series utilized some of LeBrons favorite signature sneakers and iconic silhouettes, and mashed them up on the Nike LeBron 16. It sure got a lot of us feeling nostalgic AF.
But it was they way they released, and their exclusivity that made the hype real again. And this year, the real-time releases return on Christmas Day. As soon as LeBron hits the hardwood in the exclusive LeBron 16 colorway, the shoe will become available via Nike SNKRS app.
Today we got a teaser at what’s ahead for LeBron’s 16th signature sneaker, again inspired by player exclusives and celebrated Nike classics, including the “Air Trainer”, “King’s Throne”, “Horsemen”, “Nike SB”, “Remix”, and “Hot Lava.”
Stay tuned for more and be ready on Christmas Day for the first drop!
