Oregon's "Mummy Duck" Foamposite Pro Will Haunt Holiday 2026

The Oregon Ducks have become known for receiving some of the most unique player exclusives in college athletics, and last fall’s “Mummy Duck” footwear pack was among the most memorable. The eerie concept appeared on special-edition Nike Air Foamposite Pro sneakers and matching Vaporposite cleats, which were gifted to the football program during the 2025 season. Now, the theme is expected to expand beyond the locker room with a retail version reportedly arriving for Holiday 2026.

While the Ducks’ original pair arrived in bright white tones to emphasize the mummy-inspired theme, the retail Nike Air Foamposite Pro "Mummy Duck" is expected to take a darker approach. Early details suggest a Black/Barely Volt/White color scheme, giving the design a more ominous look compared to the player-exclusive edition seen on the field last year.

Despite the shift in base color, the concept itself is expected to remain intact. The Foamposite shell is rumored to feature a striped pattern that mimics wrapped bandages, reinforcing the mummy-inspired aesthetic that defined the Ducks’ exclusive version. Branding details will likely follow the same story-driven approach, with the Swoosh framed by textured overlays reminiscent of cloth wrappings.

Glow-in-the-dark accents are also expected to return, including luminous elements throughout the upper and a bright green outsole that lights up in low-light conditions. At the heel, the pair is rumored to feature the same custom “Mummy Duck” graphic used on the Oregon-issued footwear, while reflective silver branding adds another eye-catching detail.

The original white-based “Mummy Duck” Foamposite Pro and Vaporposite cleats were gifted to Oregon players ahead of their overtime victory against Penn State on September 27, 2025. Those pairs remain exclusive to the program and have not been released publicly.

Oregon’s relationship with the Foamposite line dates back more than a decade. In 2013, the university received a special Air Foamposite One that eventually released in limited numbers to the public — a precedent that suggests the Nike Air Foamposite Pro "Mummy Duck" could follow a similar path with a restricted drop.

This, of course, won't be the only college-themed Foamposite on the way this year, with a four-pair pack of college football-themed colorways for LSU, Florida State, TCU, and Ohio State also confirmed for release.

At the time of writing, official images and in-hand looks at the black-based version have not surfaced, and current visuals circulating online are speculative mock-ups.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro "Mummy Duck" is currently expected to release during Holiday 2026 with a rumored retail price of $230.
