Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” Expected to Return for Holiday 2026
The “Dr. Doom” Nike Air Foamposite Pro is expected to make its return during Holiday 2026, coinciding with the pair's 20th anniversary, per Zsneakerheadz and Sneakerfiles. First introduced in 2006, the black-and-white colorway quickly became one of the most recognizable Foamposite Pro releases, earning its nickname from its resemblance to the Marvel Comics villain.
The “Dr. Doom” Nike Air Foamposite Pro, which is expected to return in OG form, features a matte black Foamposite shell paired with contrasting white Swooshes along the lateral and medial sides. The upper is complemented by black nubuck eyestays and collar trim, while a white midsole and black rubber outsole complete the monochromatic setup. Carbon fiber shank detailing remains visible underfoot, reinforcing the model’s performance roots.
Unlike the original Nike Air Foamposite One, the Pro version is distinguished by its prominent side Swoosh branding, giving the “Dr. Doom” Nike Air Foamposite Pro a more traditional Nike Basketball aesthetic. Over time, the colorway has become a staple within the Foamposite lineage, standing alongside other early-era classics.
The anticipated Holiday 2026 release marks the first return of the “Dr. Doom” Nike Air Foamposite Pro since its previous retro run (2016), and arrives at a time when Nike continues to revisit key basketball silhouettes from the early 2000s.
The “Dr. Doom” Nike Air Foamposite Pro is expected to release in Holiday 2026 via Nike.com and select retailers. Additional details, including confirmed pricing and release dates, should be announced closer to launch.
