Nike’s "Dr. Doom" Vaporposite Pro Hits the Gridiron

Nike is taking one of its most recognizable Foamposite-inspired color schemes to the gridiron with the Vaporposite Pro “Dr. Doom”, releasing November 1 for $210.

The football cleat keeps things simple in black and white, borrowing the same stark palette associated with the “Dr. Doom” Air Foamposite Pro. A black upper dominates the build, while oversized white Swooshes and white traction elements underfoot provide the contrast.

The release also comes at the right time for Foamposite fans. Nike is set to bring back the Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” on November 27, marking the colorway’s first retail return since 2016 and celebrating 20 years since its original 2006 debut. The retro is currently priced at $240.
