Paul Rodriguez’s first Nike SB signature model — the Paul Rodriguez Nike SB P-Rod 1 — is set to continue its retro run with a new All-Star–themed release slated for February 10, 2026.

This upcoming colorway ties directly into NBA All-Star Weekend’s Western Conference spotlight, with design cues that point back to Los Angeles and the era that shaped both the P-Rod 1 and Rodriguez’s rise. Dressed in bold Habanero Red leather, the shoe is accented by Metallic Silver Swooshes and a matching tonal setup across the tongue, laces, and midsole. The quilted heel panel — a defining detail of the original silhouette — remains intact, reinforcing the premium feel that helped set the P-Rod 1 apart when it first launched in the mid-2000s.

Early images shared by @shuseum83 suggest clear inspiration drawn from early-2010s Los Angeles Lakers uniforms, a fitting reference given Rodriguez’s long-standing connection to the city and its basketball culture. Subtle nods to the Western Conference appear throughout, including a lace dubrae that references “West,” grounding the colorway firmly in All-Star territory without overdoing the theme.

Performance-wise, the shoe sticks to its original formula. Zoom Air cushioning in the heel provides impact protection, while the durable rubber outsole delivers the board feel and grip that made the P-Rod 1 a staple in its original run. It’s a reminder that, even as the model shifts into lifestyle rotations, its skate-first design still holds up.

With the Nike SB P-Rod 1 gaining renewed traction through recent retros and on-stream teasers from Rodriguez himself, this All-Star West edition feels like a natural extension of the comeback. The Nike SB P-Rod 1 “Habanero Red” is expected to release during NBA All-Star Weekend 2026, which takes place in Los Angeles from February 13–15.
