Nike SB reissued Paul Rodriguez's debut signature model earlier in the year in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The retro arrived with a new name—Paul Rodriguez Zoom Air Low—but maintained all the bells-and-whistles that made the silhouette a hit in 2005.
The full scope of the skate shoe's retro run has yet to pan out, but photos from Instagram user @thesolesorcerer suggest P-Rod's beloved design will return in a "Black/Flint Grey/Black/Varsity Red" color scheme.
To the uninformed, the "Bred"-reminiscent style might be new, but it isn't. Two decades ago, the predominantly muted ensemble landed on Rodriguez's Zoom Air-cushioned sneaker. A vocal fan of the Air Jordan series, P-Rod could've drawn inspiration from the Chicago Bulls' famed color palette. In 2015, the California-native employed the same color-blocking on a collaboration between his Primitive Skateboarding imprint and Nike SB.
Enjoy an in-hand look at the expected retro ahead. Pairs could hit Nike.com before the year ends, but that's yet to be confirmed. The skate sneaker is priced at $125.
