Paul Rodriguez’s first Nike SB signature model — the P-Rod 1 — continues its celebrated comeback with a striking new “Habanero Red” colorway expected to release in Spring 2026, per SneakerMarketRo (X).
Carrying forward the shoe’s classic skate DNA and unmistakable silhouette, this upcoming edition is expected to feature a full leather construction dressed in bold Habanero Red. Metallic Silver Swooshes sweep across the sides, adding contrast to the fiery base, while the model’s signature quilted rear panel maintains its premium edge. The padded tongue, tonal midsole, and matching laces complete the cohesive look. Instagram user @shuseum83 shared detailed photos of the brightly-colored style, revealing the pair's inspiration in the process. Rodriguez, a lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, seems to have used the Western Conference Team's uniforms from the early 2010s as the muse for his next P-Rod 1. The shoes include a lace dubrae that reds West.
Beneath, Zoom Air cushioning and a durable rubber outsole return for comfort and board control, mirroring the tech specs that made the P-Rod 1 a staple of mid-2000s skateboarding. With the model’s resurgence gaining momentum following multiple leaks and Rodriguez himself teasing pairs on stream, this iteration looks poised to keep that energy going into the new year.
The Nike SB P-Rod 1 “Habanero Red” is expected to release during NBA All-Star Weekend 2026, which takes place in Los Angeles from Feb. 13-15.
