It’s been a minute since we saw a nice, clean colorway of the Air Max Tailwind IV touchdown — last October, in fact. It’s a sure sign that Nike is slowing down the releases for the silhouette which has seen a year-long retro run that was kicked off by the three-piece Supreme collaboration in Spring/Summer 2019. Yes, it’s true, all good things must (eventually) come to an end — but not quite yet, it seems. This new reflective “Platinum Tint” Tailwind 4, which had already hit select retailers last year, has just arrived here on Nike.comand it’s definitely drumming up some interest.

The all-white mesh base is a perfect Summer textile, while its reflective overlays serve the wearer in low-light conditions, too. Subtle touches of the titular silver tint take shape on the cage overlays, eyelets, and Air eyelids, while further flashes appear at the toe and tail. A strike of Nike’s signature Total Orange is tacked on at the Swoosh accents as well as some underfoot pops. The latter sits sandwiched in an icy-blue sole unit, with the visible Air supports above follows suit.
