This Graphic T-Shirt Sees R9 Wearing the First-Ever Nike-Brazil Jersey

NIKE, Inc.'s Brazil fever is at an all-time high. The storied partnership began in 1996 and recently gave way to a collaborative project between Jordan Brand and CBF, the country's football governing body. More recently, a graphic t-shirt donning a picture of Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima—best known simply as Ronaldo or "R9"—surfaced, continuing to celebrate the South American nation's football heritage.

As with similar Nike Sportswear (NSW) apparel, the newly-surfaced shirt features a straightforward design. An off white base sets the stage for small "R9" embroidery on the center of the chest, a detail that evokes imagery of Nike Football and Total 90 logos. The back of the shirt sees a blown-up, close-up portrait of Ronaldo in 1997, between the ages of 20 and 21. The photo, likely captured by Simon Bruty, sees the young phenom wearing that year's Home jersey for Brazil. The yellow-and-green shirt is the first manufactured by Nike after the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol ended its relationship with Umbro.
