Friends forever.
Look, Kyrie is outright strange. He’s a different cat; an enigma. We know this, but a Friends x Kyrie 5 collaboration? That’s out of left field. Then again, this is a guy who dropped 4 pairs of sneakers based on children’s cereals, is long-believed to be a member of the Illuminati, and believes that the world is flat. It is his favorite TV show, though, which makes this collaboration make some sense — but it’s still weird.
But not as weird as getting the show’s logo tattooed on your forearm:
As for the sneaker, first looks at the Nike Kyrie 5 “Friends” depicts a black mesh upper anchoring the pair, with contrasting white riding the sole unit and Swoosh. The tie-in to the 90s sitcom comes with the use of red, teal and yellow colors, the same tri used in the iconic show’s logo. Said logo also appears on the lateral ankle and on the insoles.
A release date hasn’t been linked to the “Friends” Nike Kyrie 5 as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated with further developments.
