Official Images // Nike Dunk Low “Flip the Old School”
Nike has achieved an unrivaled era for the Nike Dunk, with — literally — every single release, be it SB or GR, a sell-out. Through it all, the brand has stayed true with some original releases, reissues of revered favorites, and some brand new bangers, too. The next to appear ticks the boxes for all three categories, with the Nike Dunk Low “Flip the Old School” nodding the original 1985 Dunk campaign and tributing a classic CO.JP pack from 1999 — delivering it all with a brand new release.
Like the just-previewed Air Force 1 Low “Keep ’em Fresh”, this Dunk will arrive in a protective tissue wrap. This time, along with the graphic insoles, honors the original college colors campaign from the Dunk’s day dot. Beneath, we find two mismatched colorways, each inverted from the other. They appear to channel 1999’s CO.JP “City Attack” Pack, a two-piece High release that served purple and white options with popping yellow-gold at the tongue. Instead of the Highs, we see a Low, with each respective shoe honoring the classic release. Different from the 1999 pack, the “Reverse” colorway gets the full inverted treatment, including flipped Swooshes and mirrored tongue and rear branding. Construction on the pairs is different, too, with migration away from staple smooth leather in favor of a soft tumbled leather build and overlays of ostrich-textured leather.
A release date for the all-new, heritage-inspired Nike Dunk Low “Flip the Old School” has not yet been set, but with official images for the pair available now, you should expect to see a release hit select Swoosh stockists and Nike.com in the not-too-distant future.
