OG Post 01.20.21 // With Paris Fashion Week officially kicking off yesterday, you can expect to see a slew of collaborative footwear teasers flow through over the coming days. With the schedule itself altered due to COVID-19, the event’s showings are now forced to be displayed digitally — the first of which has appeared through Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER collection for Fall/Winter 21: two UNDERCOVER x Nike Dunk Highs.

Takahashi brings his signature minimal flavor to the two monochrome takes, with both black and white options a complete inversion of the other. The quick looks at the collaboration show a suede construction with tonal leather overlays and a staple UNDERCOVER fleck through the sole unit. All of this simplicity sets up the pair’s championing rear text, with the back heel’s left foot featuring “CHAOS” text while the right is adorned with “GLEICHGEWICHT,” or “BALANCE” as translated from German. Furthermore, the pair then marks its collar with “NEUES” and “NEUER,” a pairing that means “NEW”.
