Nike Dips the Vomero Premium in an "Oreo" Flavor
It's no secret that the Nike Running team struck gold with the Vomero Premium, an ultra-plush performance model that goes all-out on comfort. Before the Swoosh delivers a sequel for the silhouette, it's further building out a roster of styles, which now includes an Oreo-reminiscent makeover.
The latest Vomero Premium features a "Black/White/Metallic Silver" color scheme across its textile upper, and dual-cushioned sole unit. The "Oreo"-moniker arrives by way of both the predominantly black-white colorway and speckled midsole—a detail seen on the fan-favorite Air Jordan 6 "Oreo" retro launched in 2010 (and again in August of this year). Even before then, an Air Jordan 4 from November 1999 was referred to by an "Oreo" nickname.
Throughout its lifecycle, the Nike Vomero Premium has appeared in a plethora of experimental, eye-catching ensembles. The latest black-white offering is straightforward in design execution, but splatter finishes throughout the upper and ZoomX foam midsole bring some playfulness to the high-performer.
Enjoy official photos of the Vomero Premium ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com by October for $230.
