Nike Basketball’s "Black Label" collection is shaping up to be the defining footwear story of All-Star Weekend 2025, with top-tier signature models receiving an elevated, all-black revamp. Among them is the Nike GT Hustle 2 "Wemby", a fitting tribute to Victor Wembanyama, who has skyrocketed from Rookie of the Year favorite to bonafide NBA All-Star in just a season.
Wemby’s first-ever Nike PE, the GT Hustle 2 "Alien", debuted with neon green accents last year as a nod to his extraterrestrial moniker. This time, the "Little Green Men" theme is gone, replaced with something more sinister—a Xenomorph-like aesthetic. The upper retains its lightweight radial knit construction, but added vein-like stitching weaves through the sidewalls, heightening the eerie, alien feel. Nearly everything is dipped in black, with only subtle details—like Wembanyama’s logo on the tongue and a soft yellow outline around the Swoosh—breaking the midnight-hued design.
With All-Star Weekend in the Bay Area fast approaching, Wemby’s latest signature sneaker is set to hit the hardwood for the big event. Expect the Nike GT Hustle 2 "Wemby" Black Label to release on February 14th at select retailers alongside the entire Nike All-Star collection.
