Nike are Landing the Air Max 90 on Mars this March
Shoot for the stars.
Nike has already visited the moon numerous times, most notably in 2014, where the Swoosh dropped the reflective “Moon Landing” Air Max Lunar 90 SP. But like recent progress in interstellar voyages, Nike is shooting their sights past the Earth’s closest natural satellite, with an aim to land on neighboring Mars. For 2019, the sportswear division will be rebooting the Air Max 90 for lift-off, with an upcoming “Mars Landing” release.
This Nike Air Max 90 comes covered in a Mars Stone/Magma Orange graphic (anyone else read “Magma” like Dr. Evil?) which resembles the dire surface of the fourth rock from the Sun. Its seamless one-piece upper rocks Metallic Silver accents on the tongues — which are also reflective of the collection’s cap and apparel), paired with Bright Orange laces and a black speckled midsole. It’s unclear at this stage if the upper will be reflective like it’s “Moon Landing” counterpart.
As for its release, the Nike Air Max 90 “Mars Landing” will arrive on March 16th at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com Stay tuned for the comprehensive Where to Buy guide.
