The monochromatic makeup of this new Nike React Element 55 is a little out of character for the silhouette, which usually lends itself to bold, audacious colorways that fit the sneaker’s lifestyle-cross training mould. But as of late, the 87’s little brother had been tweaking its colors to suit a more refined palate.

This “Pure Platinum” pair goes back to the basic of basics — all white — paired with Pure Platinum hits on the branding. It’s not that simple, though, with minute hits of texture arriving in the form of cross-hatch on the upper, and 3M reflective detailing on the lace loops and heel tab for a final flex.
