After years of rebuilding, the Oklahoma City Thunder have officially reached the NBA mountaintop. In a thrilling Game 7 win over the Indiana Pacers, the Thunder clinched their first-ever NBA championship, capping off a remarkable postseason run that has rewritten history books and reignited belief in small-market title hopes.

Led by a fearless young core, the Thunder entered the 2025 NBA Finals with momentum and poise, taking early control of the series. They held off multiple surges from the Pacers and closed out the series 4–3 with a commanding Game 7 victory at home, securing the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the first time in franchise history.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams proved to be one of the most potent Finals duos in modern memory. The pair combined for 291 points over the first five games—ranking fourth all-time for a Finals duo since the ABA–NBA merger.

The Thunder’s Game 7 win also holds broader historical significance. At just 23.9 years old on average, the Thunder became the youngest NBA champion since the 1977 Portland Trail Blazers.

The Pacers put up a valiant fight throughout the series, with Tyrese Haliburton’s Game 1 buzzer-beater delivering one of the most thrilling moments of the postseason. Despite the loss, Indiana’s unexpected Finals run was their first since 2000 and has set the stage for a promising future.

For Oklahoma City, the championship marks the beginning of what could be a new era of dominance in the Western Conference—built not through free agency splashes, but through patience, drafting, and development.

You can now grab you NBA Championship gear here from Nike and celebrate the Oklahoma City Thunder Championship win.

Following the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2025 NBA Championship win, their three key footwear partners—Converse, Adidas, and Nike Basketball—have each launched campaigns honoring the team’s title run and the standout performances of their athletes.

All three brands celebrated the Thunder’s first title as a team victory—and as a symbol of what’s next for a new generation of hoopers.

Converse marked the celebration by gifting Shai a one-of-one pair of SHAI 001 “Trophy Gold” PEs.
