Opening Ceremony Goes Grunge with Two-Piece Plaid Pack of Reebok Instapump Furys
Since 2002, US-based multi-label retail store Opening Ceremony has blurred the lines between international art and fashion. Known well throughout the sneaker world through its countless collaborations with Vans and adidas, the brand has never been afraid of pushing the envelope in footwear with bold prints and vibrant colors. Their next effort, though, is a little more mainstream — a grungy two-piece pack of Plaid Reebok Instapump Furys.
Both pairs start out with simplistic bases — all-white sole units — and each feature toe-to-tail finishes in grunge-go-to Plaid, with uppers in woven textile, and Pump bladders in matching print graphics. One pair arrives in green tartan streaked with black, pink, and white detail, while the other opts for a punchy yellow with black and pink. Consistent across the two pairs are buttery black leather heels and toes, the former branded with OC’s signature lettermark, as well as black Pump hardware, black heel pulls, and black liners.
A release date for the duo is yet to be revealed, but with plaid season typically hitting around Fall, you should expect to see these in action around then. Until official word drops, grab a look at the two pairs here below, and keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for updates.
