The Reebok Answer 1 Returns June 29th

Originally released in 1997, Allen Iverson’s second signature sneaker — the Reebok Answer 1 — has achieved cult status. Like the man himself, the design was like nothing we’d seen in the NBA before, and it joined the Fila Grant Hill 2 as one of the precursors to the bulky, almost shapeless sneaker movement of the early 2000s. In 2022, the silhouette celebrates its 25th anniversary, and as you’d expect, Reebok has some big plans for the silhouette ahead, the first of which to be confirmed is the return of the OG White/Red colorway.

Last released to the market back in 2018 (pictured above and below), the OG DMX-loaded sneaker is expected to arrive in much the same fashion as is predecessors, with uppers of smooth and high-gloss leathers matched with shining textile to match his showy style. Sole units show a cross between the Air Jordan 13 and his preceding Question design, all of which comes clad in colors to match those iconic home court uniforms from 1997:
