Reebok Instapump Fury OG “Citron” Restocks May 15th
The Reebok Instapump Fury is still, 25 years after it’s the first release, one of the most unique offerings in the sneaker world. A testament to designer Steven Smith and the Reebok Advanced Concepts team, its “pump-to-fit” technology in place of laces, its cut-out, wildly styled upper, and its two-piece midsole featuring DMX cushioning somehow hasn’t aged. Its timeless abstract design is instantly recognizable, which has helped the silhouette build a back catalog of marquee collaborations from the likes of BAPE and Vetements. Hell, it’s even wound up in the Design Museum of London.
Calling it iconic would be an understatement.
So for its 25th anniversary in 2019, we’re expecting big things from Reebok, starting with a retro OG “Citron” colorway. The charge is lead by a strike of bright citron yellow-green with a popping crimson red and a pitch-black; the Instapump Fury’s classic color, like the silhouette itself, is still just as striking now as it was when it first arrived in 1994.
Each pair of this remastered runner will be individually numbered — ranging from 1-1994 — and they’ll release on Reebok.com on March 22nd for an even $200 USD.
Update 05.12.21 Retailers across the globe have announced a restock of the OG Citron Reebok Instapump Fury for May 15th, 2021. Though Reebok.com is yet to announce their plans, it might be worthwhile watching their official webstore on the day should they drop there, too. If you can’t wait it out, there’s already a tone of 2019 pairs on the aftermarket sites listed below — a lot of which are sitting under retail.Reebok Instapump Fury OG “Citron”
