For those outside of the nation of Japan, know this: ZOZOTOWN is HUGE. The nation’s largest online retailer serves up a broad spectrum of labels from UNDERCOVER to Jieda, all whilst dishing up their own upcycled second-hand goods via their in-house shop. It’s not just for one demographic, either, with the retailer appealing to kids from 1 to 92 — but within the sneakersphere, they’ve been making waves, coming up on killer collaborations — most notably on the adidas Campus 80 back in 2013. SInce then, though, it’s been chopping out some low-key exclusives, with their next-up effort carrying too much sauce to fly under the radar: the ZOZOTOWN x Reebok Instapump Fury “Galaxy”
In essence, the sneaker is a very simple design; a triple navy base served up in mesh, nylon, and leather, with white-striped pulls. As understated as that is, the pair is projected into its own level thanks to it’s championing feature, a constellation covering the pair’s inflatable overlays. To further add the intergalactic appeal, the pair is capped off with a small rocket graphic at the left Pump, and the pair is finished off with vibrant orange insoles.
The out-of-this-world release is expected to launch this May, with pre-orders open from today on ZOZO.jp
