Jae Tips Teases Saucony Grid Jazz 9 Collab at Paris Fashion Week
Jae Tips is carrying on the tradition of unveiling his sneaker collaborations during Paris Fashion Week, having recently shared a picture of an upcoming Saucony Grid Jazz 9 to Instagram.
Born and raised in the Bronx, the 30-something-year-old creative has become a household name within the world of sneakers since the end of 2022 when he previewed his first project with Saucony. Although the storied brand had been a mainstay within the world of performance-running, it struggled within the lifestyle space. Jae Tips, however, injected the energy needed into the brand, making Saucony a force to be reckoned with.
The Jazz 9 falls in line with other linkups between the underdog partners. Reminiscent of the ProGrid Omni 9 Jae Tips and team launched last year, the retro running model offers a plethora of layers as a canvas for different colors and patterns. To this front, the New York-native has covered the mesh-heavy sneaker in vibrant blue, yellow, and infrared. Hits of metallic silver also join the mix, nodding to the design's original sports-focused intentions.
Yet, the upcoming release (likely part of a larger story-driven capsule) is unmistakably Jae Tips. When both heels come together, they read a message likely central to the creative's next narrative: 'I Love You But I'm Busy'. Past projects have spoken to 'remembering those who fronted' and 'what to wear for special occasions'.
Firm release details are still under wraps, but it's likely the Jae Tips x Saucony Jazz 9 collaboration will land towards the end of summer with a price tag of $160. The man himself wrote 'Coming Soon' in his Instagram post previewing the sneakers, but logistics might end up delaying the drop.
