Virginia's Sean Wotherspoon might best be known for his Round Two empire and Nike Air Max collaboration from 2018, but he's not one to rest on his laurels. Following a multi-season partnership with Adidas, the creative has teamed up with Zellerfeld for his first foray into the world of 3D-printed footwear.

Dubbed SEAN DOUBLE U, the nascent project between Wotherspoon (initials S.W.) and the Brooklyn-based leader in the space present two new silhouettes to the market. Both are printed using a single recyclable material, and omit the use of stitching, glue, and large-scale factories. Following his work with the Swoosh, Wotherspoon's ambitions have largely attempted to reduce waste and the Zellerfeld collection allows him to do so unlike any other collaborator has.

According to the designer, "SEAN DOUBLE U is about the different sides we all have. The sneaker is for motion. The mule is for slowing down."

The former offering bears some semblance to the Air Max 1000, Nike's first 3D-printed footwear model. The pair has been developed with the help of Zellerfeld, which speaks to the Germany-founded team's expertise in the burgeoning space.

As with other products from Zellerfeld, both the DOUBLE U Sneaker and DOUBLE U Mule are made-to-order, custom-fitted through a simple scan of the feet. The duo breathes new life into traditional design styles, and is completely recyclable at the end of its life cycle.

Head over to Zellerfeld.com right now to discover and shop Sean Wotherspoon's latest collaboration. The more traditional sneaker is priced at $180, while the mule retails for $150. Both DOUBLE U styles are offered in five tonal finishes: red, orange, black, blue, and beige.
