Shoe Palace is rewriting the rules of sneaker retail with the launch of its innovative new flagship concept, Shoe Palace Nine Three. Located at 862 S. Main Street in Downtown Los Angeles, the store officially opened its doors to the public on February 8, 2025.
Named in homage to the year the brand was founded, Nine Three marks a new era for the iconic retailer. This flagship location is the first of five planned stores under the new concept, with additional openings coming soon in Little Tokyo (Los Angeles), San Francisco, Miami, and Las Vegas.
The Downtown LA store merges high-end retail with cultural storytelling, offering a fresh take on the in-store experience. It serves not only as a destination for exclusive sneakers and apparel but also as a tribute to the legacy and future of the Shoe Palace brand.
Shoe Palace began as a family dream brought to life by founder Agob Mersho, who immigrated from Syria to the United States in 1978 with hopes of building a better life. After 15 years of hard work and determination, the first Shoe Palace store opened in the Bay Area in 1993. Since then, the brand has grown to nearly 200 locations across the country and remains a trusted name in sneaker culture, with partnerships that include Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas, New Balance, and more.
Now, more than three decades later, the Nine Three concept signals a new direction—where heritage meets innovation, and community meets culture.
